Dr. André Nel started his working life in emergency medicine and general medical practice.

He qualified at the University of Pretoria in South Africa and is registered to practice medicine in the UK, Ireland, South Africa and Canada.

Dr. Nel is a Fellow of the International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery “FISHRS”, and Diplomate of the American Board of Hair Restoration Surgery “ABHRS” and a physician member of the ISHRS. He has been working in hair restoration since 2008.

He is qualified in ATLS, AMLS, ACLS, BLS Certification, giving full registration as an emergency physician.

Dr. Nel’s personal specialities in hair restoration surgery are FUE (Follicle Unit Excision) technique and combination FUE/LSE (Linear Strip Excision), combined with FUE from the Beard Area below the Jaw Line. This technique allows for optimal graft yield and protection of the donor areas which is essential for long-term strategy in all hair restoration cases where large amounts of follicle units are required per session or over a lifetime.
